God's Will is No Mystery

Ephesians 5:17

"God's Will is No Mystery"    Ephesians 5:17

Ephesians 5:17

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Habakkuk 2:4

" the righteous shall live by his faith."

Psalm 143:10

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!

-A life in the center of God's will is:

1. Christian Life

1 Timothy 2:3-4

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2. Controlled Life

 Ephesians 5:17-18

17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit

3. Clean Life

 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.

4. Compliant Life

 1 Peter 2:13-15

13 Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, 14 or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.

5. Committed Life

 1Peter 3:17

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.

 Phil 1:29

For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake

1 Thessalonians 5:18

give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Augustine

"Love God and do whatever you please: for the soul trained in love to God will do nothing to offend the One who is Beloved."

John 14:21

Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.

Psalm 37:4

"Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart."

That means that if you are conforming to God's will in all the five ways listed above, He will place in your heart desires that reflect His will. So do what you want to do
