Happy New Year everyone!

Throughout the month of December, I have realized that there is one major attribute that God has been teaching me to trust in this year: The Goodness of God. Over the course of 2024, I’ve heard countless stories from fellow Believers in our church about how God has shown His goodness to them, even during their toughest trials. I have also seen His goodness in my own life as well.

But as we come to the end of the year, there is one quote that comes to mind, “All good things must come to an end.” For many things in life, this seems to be true.

But I am so thankful that God’s Goodness is as everlasting as He is! How beautiful it is when David says in the Psalms, “Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” (Psalm 106:1)

Or when he says in Psalm 23:6, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

It is such a blessing knowing that our God will always be good to us!

As we live in a world that is filled with sin, hardships, trials, pain, and suffering, we can easily forget the Goodness of God, and wonder if He has forgotten about us. But I hope this letter is a reminder for you all that God will never change. (Hebrews 13:8)

Even in our darkest times He is still good to us. For we know, “that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

So as we enter 2025, whatever this year may bring, let’s continue to trust in His goodness, and know that He is working for our good. And let’s remember that in the end, He will be true to His promise, and we will be with Him for all eternity. Good things will never come to an end again!

Surely we can say, “God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.”
